On Thursday, the Delhi Disaster Management Authority imposed a night curfew in the national capital ahead of the 2021 New Year’s Eve celebrations. A circular was issued by the Authority stating that no more than five people should be allowed to assemble in public places. In addition, from 11 p.m. on 31 December to 6 a.m. on 1 January and 11 p.m. on 1 January to 6 a.m. on 2 January, no New Year celebration events or meetings are permitted in public places.
