New Delhi | Class 10 and 12 final examinations will take place from May 4 to June 10 for schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and results will be declared on July 15, announced by Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Thursday.
“The board exams for Class 10 and 12 will be conducted from May 4 to June 10. Schools will be allowed to conduct practical exams from March 1. The date sheet for both classes will be issued soon.
The results will be declared by July 15,” Mr. Pokhriyal declared.
The three-month delay due to the coronavirus pandemic raised concern about the effect on college admissions, particularly for those wishing to study abroad.

Practical tests are typically carried out in January and theoretical tests begin in February and end in March.
Last week, Mr. Nishank ruled out the conduct of the Board’s exams until February in the context of the COVID-19 scenario.
With no clarification on the board’s exam dates, some schools had already administered pre-board exams online to keep students aware.
