India reported 4,03,738 new cases of the novel coronavirus on Sunday, with 4,092 deaths. The Union Health Ministry reported a total of 3,86,444 discharges in the last 24 hours, bringing the total recovery to 1,83,17,404. According to the data, the total number of COVID-19 cases in India has reached 2,22,96,414 with 37,36,648 active cases. The country’s total death toll has reached 2,42,362. COVID-19 vaccinations have been administered to a total of 16,94,39,663 people in India.

In India, COVID-19 registrations topped 20 lakh on August 7, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5, and 50 lakh on September 16.

It hit the 60 lakh mark on September 28, then the 70 lakh mark on October 11, the 80 lakh mark on October 29, the 90 lakh mark on November 20, and the one-crore mark on December 19.

On May 4, India reached the dreadful 2 billion mark.

On Friday, the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF), Switzerland, Poland, the Netherlands, and Israel delivered 2,060 oxygen concentrators, 30,000 Remdesivir vials, 467 ventilators, and three oxygen generation plants to India, according to the government.

Since April 27, 2021, India has received international donations and aid of COVID-19 relief medical supplies and equipment from various countries and organisations, according to an official statement released on Saturday by the Union Health Ministry.

It stated that “6608 oxygen concentrators, 3856 oxygen cylinders, 14 oxygen generation plants, 4330 ventilators/Bi PAP, and approximately three lakh Remdesivir vials were delivered/ dispatched” between April 27, 2021 and May 7, 2021.
