In the fifth match of the Road Safety World Series, India Legends defeated Bangladesh Legends by 10 wickets, marking the tournament’s resumption after a year.

In March 2020, due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the tournament was postponed indefinitely.

Virender Sehwag (80* off 35 balls) and Sachin Tendulkar (33* off 26 balls) thrashed the Bangladesh Legends, producing a performance that rekindled Indian cricket’s glorious past.

Sehwag began his innings with a four on the first delivery of the Indian innings, keeping with his ‘tradition.’ Mohammad Rafique, the spinner, was slammed for driving through the covers.

The opener also brought his half-century to the long-off with a six. He charged the track to bring his fifty up.

India has won all three of their Road Safety World Series matches so far, and currently sits atop the table with 12 points. On March 9, the team will face the England Legends, followed by the South Africa Legends on March 13.
