On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the High Court’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations in Gujarat. As part of the institution’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations, the Prime Minister also virtually released a commemorative postage stamp today at the Gujarat High Court. On May 1, 2020, the Gujarat High Court completed its sixty years of establishment.

Although the PM was supposed to attend one of the events personally and planned to release the stamp as part of the Diamond Jubilee, the celebrations were delayed because of the Gujarat coronavirus outbreak, the release said.

Now, PM Modi will virtually release the stamp on Saturday, it said.

“The Prime Minister has kindly consented to grace the structure and do the honours of publishing the commemorative postage stamp of Diamond Jubilee of the High Court of Gujarat at 10.30 am on February 6, 2021,” it said.

The function was held in virtual mode, in which the gathering was also addressed by the prime minister.

Vijay Rupani, Chief Minister of Gujarat, and Vikram Nath, Chief Justice of the Gujarat High Court, were also present at the event.
