Martyr’s Day 2021: We observe two Martyr’s Days in India every year, also known as Shaheed Diwas. Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev, and countless other brave Indian men who fought for the independence, welfare, and glory of India were among them on January 30 and March 23 to honour the sacrifices made by our freedom fighters.

India and 15 other nations around the world are celebrating this day to celebrate the Day of the Martyr and Shaheed Divas, to pay respect and tribute to brave champions and freedom fighters.

The second martyr’s day is to pay tribute to Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, and Sukhdev, executed on March 23, 1931, in Lahore for their revolutionary actions against the British empire. The trio were sentenced to death for conspiring to kill British police officer John P Saunders.

Take a look at the inspiring quotations on Martyr’s Day by Bhagat Singh and others here:

They can kill me, but my ideas can’t be killed. They can crush my body, but they can’t crush my spirit at all.
Two traits of revolutionary thought are merciless criticism and independent thinking.
Bombs and pistols are not revolutionary. On the whetting stone of thoughts, the sword of revolution is sharpened.
The sound has to be very loud if the deaf have to hear it.
Labour is society’s true sustainer.
Every tiny molecule of Ash is in motion with my heat. I am so mad that I am free, even in jail.
I am a man and I am concerned with all that affects mankind.
