Through his ‘Mann Ki Baat’ radio programme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation today. It was the 72nd edition of the Monthly Radio Program of the Prime Minister. It was the last Mann Ki Baat of the year 2020 as well. In a Saturday tweet, Prime Minister Akashvani said he would broadcast the programme in regional languages immediately after the Hindi broadcast on All India Radio, DD, and the mobile app Narendra Modi.
The Prime Minister said, addressing his radio programme, “When I look at India’s youth, I feel elated and reassured.”
I feel that way because the young people of my country have a ‘Can Do’ approach and a ‘Will Do’ spirit. No challenge is too big for them. Nothing is beyond their reach,” Modi said.
The Prime Minister, remembering Guru Govind Singh Ji, said, “On this day, Guru Govind Singh Ji’s mother Mata Gujri Ji embraced martyrdom.”
The Day of Martyrdom of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji was about a week ago. I had the privilege to pay my obeisance to Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji at Gurudwara Rakab Ganj in Delhi,” he said.
The Prime Minister also said that India has seen an increase in the population of lions, tigers and a significant increase in forest cover.
Prime Minister Modi said, “Main reason is that not only govt but several other people, civil societies and other organisations are contributing towards forest and wildlife conversation,”
Earlier this Friday, Prime Minister Modi also sought people’s views on the year 2020, seen as one of the most disruptive in recent history due to the outbreak of COVID-19, and also what they were looking forward to in the coming year, ahead of his ‘Mann ki Baat’ broadcast today.

PM Modi emphasised the strong, vibrant, and active alumni network in the 71st edition of his monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat,’ and urged educational institutions to adopt innovative methods and develop creative platforms for alumni engagement.
The Prime Minister said that not only large colleges and universities but also schools in our villages need a strong, vibrant and active alumni network.
‘Mann ki Baat’ is a monthly radio programme broadcast by the Prime Minister to the nation on the last Sunday of each month.
