Shravan Rathod, of Nadeem-Shravan fame, has passed away. After testing positive for COVID-19, he was admitted to the hospital. Shravan (66) died on Thursday. After testing positive for the deadly virus, he became critically ill. He was recently admitted to Raheja Hospital in Mahim, Mumbai. As his condition deteriorated, the composer’s co-morbidities forced him to rely on ventilator support. For a few days, the musician had been under observation at the hospital.
The music industry was stunned by Shravan’s tragic death. Shravan and his partner Nadeem are widely regarded as the musicians who brought back melody in the early 1990s with Aashiqui, their superhit soundtrack from 1990. The following year, the two composed music for films such as Saajan, Sadak, and Phool Aur Kaante. Following their split in the mid-2000s, the duo reunited in 2009 to compose for David Dhawan’s “Do Knot Disturb.”
Soon after his death, condolence messages from celebrities in the music industry remembered Shravan Rathod flooded Twitter.
