On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the Zydus Cadila plant near Ahmedabad, the Bharat Biotech plant in Hyderabad, and the Serum Institute of India (SII) in Pune to review the development work of the Covid-19 vaccine there.
On Friday, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) tweeted about the visit of PM Modi to 3 vaccine plants today. “Tomorrow, PM Narendra Modi will embark on a 3 city visit to personally review the vaccine development and manufacturing process. He will visit the Zydus Biotech Park in Ahmedabad, Bharat Biotech in Hyderabad, and Serum Institute of India in Pune,” the PMO wrote on Twitter.

- After reviewing the development of the Covid vaccine candidate, ZyCOV-D, PM Modi concluded his visit to Zydus Biotech Park near Ahmedabad. This visit was the first of his three-city tour by PM Modi to personally review India’s vaccine development process.

- To review the development of the Covid-19 vaccine candidate ZyCOV-D, the Prime Minister arrived at the Zydus Biotech Park near Ahmedabad.
- PM Narendra Modi is coming to Gujarat’s Ahmedabad today to visit Zydus Biotech Park to review the development of the Covid-19 vaccine at the facility.
- First, PM Modi will visit the Zydus Cadila pharmaceutical company near Ahmedabad to get information about the development of its Covid-19 vaccine. PM Modi is likely to arrive at the plant at around 9:30 am today, according to reports.
- The plant is located more than 20 km from Ahmedabad in the Changodar industrial area. As per reports, PM Modi is going to be at the plant for an hour.
- Drug maker Zydus Cadila announced the completion of the first phase of the clinical trial of its candidate for the coronavirus vaccine, ZyCoV-D, and the start of the second phase of the clinical trial in August.
- From Ahmedabad, where the SII is based, PM Modi will fly to Pune. The Serum Institute has partnered on a Covid-19 vaccine with global pharmaceutical giant AstraZeneca and Oxford University.
- PM Narendra Modi will then travel to Hyderabad to visit the Bharat BioTech facility that is working on Covaxin, pitched as India’s first candidate for an indigenous vaccine.
