The life and times of one of the finest and greatest cricketers in the world, Muthiah Muralidharan, are now being turned into a movie as a biopic. The sports drama is produced jointly by Movie Train Motion Pictures and Dar Motion Pictures.
Sri Lankan legendary spinner Muttiah Muralitharan has made a name for himself in the world of cricket with his spin magic.
It’s been speculated for a few years that a film about his life is going to be released.
Recently, the production crew made an update on the production.
According to Sources, Tamil star Vijay Sethupathi will play the lead role in the biopic of former Srilankan right-arm cricketer Muttiah Muralitharan, in the film is named 800, meaning the number of international test wickets taken by the legendary spinner.

Vijay Sethupathi performs expressions along with Murali’s bowling style.
The producers are hoping to compliment him on his role.
It seems that comedian Yogi Babu is going to play the character of Murali’s friend, popular cricket commentator Russell Arnold.

He was married to a young woman from Tamil Nadu.
