On the occasion of Maha Shivratri, tens of thousands of devotees from across the country bathed in the Ganga at Har ki Pairi in Haridwar. The first Shahi Snan of the Kumbh Mela, which is being held here for the first time in 12 years, is taking place today. In 2016, Haridwar hosted a Kumbh Mela.

On the occasion of Somvati Amavasya, the second Shahi Snan will be held on April 12th. The third and fourth will be held on Mesh Sankranti and Chaitra Poornima, respectively, on April 14 and April 27.

Meanwhile, special arrangements have been made in Haridwar, where devotees from all over the country are expected to flock for a holy dip in the Ganga.
