Kangana Ranaut has put everything into the film, from learning Bharatnatyam and Tamil to spending hours perfecting Jayalalithaa’s mannerisms, and viewers are excited to see the story unfold in theaters. The uncanny similarity of Kangana Ranaut and Arvind Swami’s characters to Jayalalithaa and M G Ramachandran has been a big talking point so far, and there is a lot of anticipation for the biopic’s look and feel, as well as how iconic events from the beloved actor-turned-life politician’s have been depicted.

The film is a multilingual biopic aimed at a pan-India release, directed by A. L. Vijay and written by Vijayendra Prasad. The film will follow Jayalalithaa’s illustrious film career, as well as her transition into politics, as the teaser suggests. On the occasion of Jayalalithaa’s birth anniversary, the film’s producers had also announced the release date.

Kangana Ranaut plays Jayalalithaa, Arvind Swami plays politician M. G. Ramachandran, and Prakash Raj plays Karunanidhi in the film. Jisshu Sengupta and Bhagyashree will play crucial roles as well. The biopic will be released in three languages: Hindi, Tamil, and Telegu.
