Reportedly, Janhvi Kapoor is all set to star in the remake of Helen, the Malayalam film. Anna Ben starred in the lead role in the film Helmed by Mathukutty Xavier, released in 2019. A part-time restaurant worker who gets locked up in the freezer room was followed by the film. According to a few reports, the rights to the film have been bought by the father and producer of the actress, Boney Kapoor. The movie will be co-produced by Zee Studios and will be released in early 2021. Furthermore, the report mentioned that in Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, the survival thriller is also being remade.
The film will be shot for two to three months in Lucknow and in some parts of Uttar Pradesh.
For the uninversed, alongside Ishaan Khattar, Janhvi Kapoor made her Bollywood debut with Shashank Khaitan’s Dhadak (2018). She then went on to appear in Ghost Stories (2019), a short film by Zoya Akhtar. The last time Janhvi was seen was in Gunjan Saxena: the Kargil Girl, where the former Air Force pilot was portrayed. Meanwhile, Janhvi is awaiting the release of Dostana 2 and Roohi Afzana from Dharma Productions.
