Hrithik Roshan arrives in the online impersonation case of 2016 to record a statement against Kangana Ranaut

Hrithik Roshan Kangana Ranaut

In connection with his 2016 complaint about fake emails sent in his name to actress Kangana Ranaut, Mumbai Police’s Crime Branch summoned Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan to give a statement. At around 12 noon, the actor arrived at the Crime Branch office on Saturday. The actor arrived at the commissioner’s office dressed in a black t-shirt and denim to give his statement to the Crime Intelligence Unit (CIU). In 2016, Hrithik claimed that someone was impersonating him and emailing actor Kangana Ranaut from a fictitious email address in his name.

A case was registered against an unknown person at the Cyber Police Station under section 419 (cheating by person) of the IPC and sections 66C (identity theft), 66D (cheating by person using computer resources) of the Information Technology Act. Hrithik and Kangana had an ugly spat shortly after the complaint was filed.

Hrithik and Kangana sent legal notices to one another in 2016. Kangana approached Hrithik and thanked him for appreciating her work in Queen through an email on May 24, 2014, at Karan Johar’s birthday bash. Kangana claimed, however, that Hrithik himself had provided the email ID on which they corresponded until May 2014.

“You (Kangana) sent a barrage of emails to Hrithik after discovering his real email address. Though it amounted to mental harassment and stress, our client tried to ignore all the emails (total 1439) to him. You’ve been telling people in the film industry about your affair with our client, and then calling him a “silly ex,” in addition to sending emails to our client “That notice said.

Kangana said in her announcement: “My client (Kangana) says it was Hrithik who wanted to communicate because of his imminent divorce from a newly created ID. Your customer (Hrithik) has malafidly and mischieffully hacked the email ID of my customer and deleted all the emails sent by him in an effort to safeguard his name, image, and reputation.”

Kangana also tweeted on Friday about Hrithik’s recording statement against her and called him once more a ‘silly ex.’ Duniya Kahan se kahan pahunch gayi magar mera foolish ex abhi bhi waheen hai usi modh pe jahan yeh waqt dobara laut ke nahi jane wala,” she tweeted.”

Meanwhile, Hrithik will soon begin filming for the Indian adaptation of John Le Carre’s spy thriller ‘The Night Manager.’ He’ll also appear in Fighter, which also stars Deepika Padukone. The actor was last seen in War, with Tiger Shroff and Vaani Kapoor as co-stars. In addition, he appeared in the blockbuster film Super 30.
