Rajinikanth, India’s biggest megastar, has a big surprise coming as he turns 70 on 12 December. AR Rahman, 70 other celebrities, and Thalaiva fans unveiled the common birthday picture display on December 11.
The first person to do so was AR Rahman, who had collaborated with Rajinikanth on different films in the past (including Shankar’s ‘2.0’ starring Akshay Kumar in the lead role as well). The Oscar-winning music composer went to Twitter and shared Rajini’s five-film avatars with the CDP.
More so the CDP also focused on Rajin’s next step in life-into politics. For the uninformed, Rajini Makkal Mandram, his party’s superstar, will enter politics.
Rahman wrote while sharing the CDP, “Extremely privileged to release superstar @Rajinikanth’s 70th Birthday CDP on behalf of his fans. Wishing you a great birthday and good health! #HBDSuperstarRajinikanth.”

Among the few other names who unveiled the CDP on the evening of December 11 were Dulquer Salmaan, Suniel Shetty, Raghava Lawrence, Keerthi Suresh, Aditi Rao Hydari, Sakshi Agarwal, PA Ranjith, Sivakarthikeyan, and Tovino Thomas.
The first look of Rajinikanth from his upcoming ‘Annaatthee’ will also be revealed on the 70th birthday of the actor, reportedly. Meena and Khushbu, co-stars of Rajini in the 90s, are expected to play their maternal cousins in the film. It is likely that the film will star Keerthy Suresh as the daughter of Rajinikanth and ‘Thalaivi’ Nayanthara as his wife.
